Description |
Open the Exam Engine Configuration Editor and create a New Exam. In later sessions, you can also Open an existing Exam. |
Use the following editors to customize the exam to your liking: General Properties, Question Properties, Data Source Properties, Status Messages, Graphics, and Styles. |
If you are using SCORM and would like to have Exam Engine create a manifest, use the Publish Manifest screen to customize your settings. |
If you created a new exam or want to use your current exam settings as the basis for another exam, Publish your Exam. This screen also allows you to create a virtual directory for locally viewing your exam if you have Internet Information Services (IIS) installed. |
If you are using SQL Server to store your questions and objectives, Publish SQL Server to add the necessary tables and stored procedures to the database of your choosing. |
If you made any changes since publishing your exam (or if you are editing an existing exam), be sure to Save Exam. This will save configuration files as well as your SCORM manifest (if you published a manifest). If you are using SCORM, you will then likely want to create a Package Interchange File (PIF). |
Use the Exam Engine Question Editor (Windows application) or the Exam Engine Editor (web-based application located at <exam location>/editor.aspx) to add, edit, and delete questions and objectives. See Deploying an Exam for more information on transferring your completed exam to your web server.
